New Jersey High School Softball - Somerville bounces Dunellen
May 16, 2025: Dunellen, NJ 08812 The Somerville Pioneers softball team scored 11 runs and held the host Dunellen Destroyers to 1 in the Pioneers non-league win on Friday.
The Pioneers now sport a 16-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Gill St. Bernard's for a non-league battle on Saturday, May 17. Somerville will encounter a Knights team coming off a 9-8 non-league win over Morristown-Beard (Morristown, NJ). The Knights record now stands at 10-8.
With the loss, Dunellen moves to 10-10 on the season. The Destroyers host Metuchen (Metuchen, NJ) to encounter the Bulldogs in a non-league battle on Saturday, May 17. The Bulldogs come into the battle with a record of 2-16. Metuchen lost 10-0 in their recent league battle against St. Thomas Aquinas (Edison, NJ)
