The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the Newark Catholic Green Wave (Newark, OH) and the visiting Ridgewood Generals (West Lafayette, OH), observed Newark Catholic's softball team get by Ridgewood by a tally of 3-2.

The Green Wave (8-13) will now prepare for their bout against Newark (Newark, OH). The Wildcats go into the non-league bout with a 7-15 record. In their last bout, Newark was nipped by Olentangy Liberty (Powell, OH), 4-1, in a non-league bout.
