The Prout Crusaders softball squad (Wakefield, RI), 3-1 in Saturday's league contest with the host Westerly Bulldogs (Westerly, RI)

With the triumph, Westerly improves its record to 12-7 on the year. The Bulldogs travel to La Salle Academy (Providence, RI) to face the Rams in a Division 1 contest on Monday, May 18. The Rams enter the contest with a record of 16-2. La Salle Academy won 11-1 in their recent league contest against North Kingstown (North Kingstown, RI)

The Crusaders now hold a 8-10 record. They play next when they host Smithfield for a Division 1 contest on Monday, May 18. Prout will face a Sentinels squad coming off a 11-1 non-league win over Ponaganset (North Scituate, RI). The Sentinels record now stands at 8-11.
