Dixie Hornets (Due West, SC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting McBee Panthers (McBee, SC), 5-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Hornets now own a 16-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lewisville for a non-league challenge on Friday, May 19. Dixie will face a Lions squad coming off a 7-0 non-league win over McBee (McBee, SC). The Lions record now stands at 25-1.
