Maine High School Baseball - Wells holds off Poland
May 17, 2024: Wells, ME 04090 Wells Warriors (Wells, ME) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Poland Knights (Poland, ME), 5-1 in a league test.
With the win, Wells upgrades its record to 7-5 on the season. The Warriors host Greely (Cumberland Center, ME) to battle the Rangers in a Class B South test on Monday, May 20. The Rangers come into the test with a record of 10-2.
With the defeat, Poland falls to 7-6 on the season. The Knights host Yarmouth (Yarmouth, ME) to battle the Clippers in a Class B South test on Monday, May 20. The Clippers come into the test with a record of 9-1. Yarmouth won 3-0 in their recent league test against Gray-New Gloucester (Gray, ME)
