May 17, 2024: Amesbury, MA 01913 The Newburyport Clippers (Newburyport, MA) softball nipped the host Amesbury Redhawks (Amesbury, MA), 2-1 in Friday's non-league bout.
The Clippers (3-3) will now prepare for their bout against Georgetown (Georgetown, MA). The Royals go into the non-league bout with a 5-2 record.
The Redhawks now possess a 6-3 record. They play next when they travel to Lynnfield for a Cape Ann Baker bout on Monday, May 20.
