In Friday's non-league contest, the Montclair Mounties (Montclair, NJ) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Clifton Mustangs (Clifton, NJ), by a margin of 13-3.

With the triumph, Montclair moves its record to 15-9 on the year. The Mounties host West Essex (North Caldwell, NJ) to play the Knights in a non-league contest on Saturday, May 18. The Knights come into the contest with a record of 6-16.
