May 17, 2024: Mahwah, NJ 07430 Spectators at Friday's non-league match between the Mahwah Thunderbirds (Mahwah, NJ) and the visiting Park Ridge Owls (Park Ridge, NJ), witnessed Mahwah's softball squad tip Park Ridge by a count of 3-0.
The Thunderbirds now sport a 2-17 record. They play next when they host River Dell for a Big North - Patriot match on Saturday, May 18. Mahwah will face a Golden Hawks squad coming off a 12-3 non-league win over Fort Lee (Fort Lee, NJ). The Golden Hawks record now stands at 18-6.
With the loss, Park Ridge moves to 15-5 on the season. The Owls host Pascack Hills (Montvale, NJ) to face the Broncos in a non-league match on Saturday, May 18. The Broncos go into the match with a record of 7-14. Pascack Hills lost 8-0 in their recent league match against Westwood (Washington Township, NJ)
