May 17, 2025: Pikeville, KY 41501 The Shelby Valley Wildcats got by the visiting Letcher County Central Cougars softball squad by a count of 2-1 in Saturday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Wildcats meet the Harlan County Black Bears (Harlan, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, May 17. Shelby Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 13-17 season record. The Black Bears go into the challenge with a 11-17 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Clay County (Manchester, KY).
