May 18, 2021: Washington, IL 61571 The crowd at Tuesday's league test between the Washington Panthers (Washington, IL) and the visiting Pekin Dragons (Pekin, IL), saw Washington's soccer squad triumph over Pekin by a count of 6-0.
The Panthers now hold a 8-4 record. They play next when they travel to Metamora for a Mid-Illini test on Saturday, May 22. Washington will meet a Redbirds squad coming off a 1-1 non-league East Moline United (East Moline, IL). The Redbirds record now stands at 4-3.
With the loss, Pekin drops to 7-3 on the season. The Dragons host Olympia (Stanford, IL) to meet the Spartans in a non-league test on Wednesday, May 19. The Spartans come into the test with a record of 4-9. Olympia lost 4-1 in their recent league test against Illinois Valley Central (Chillicothe, IL)
