In Saturday's non-league challenge, the Cherokee Trail Cougars (Aurora, CO) baseball squad edged the visiting Brighton Bulldogs (Brighton, CO), by a final score of 2-1.

With the win, Cherokee Trail upgrades its record to 19-7 on the season. The Cougars host Horizon (Thornton, CO) to battle the Hawks in a non-league challenge on Friday, May 24. The Hawks come into the challenge with a record of 16-9. Horizon won 4-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Monarch (Louisville, CO)

With the defeat, Brighton falls to 12-13 on the season.
