The crowd at Monday's non-league battle between the Union County Patriots (Liberty, IN) and the host Middletown Middies (Middletown, OH), saw Union County's baseball team gain a win over Middletown by a tally of 7-1.

The Patriots (10-11) will now prepare for their battle against Tri (Straughn, IN). The Titans enter the Tri-Eastern battle with a 2-12 record. In their last battle, Tri was overwhelmed by Knightstown (Knightstown, IN), 10-2, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Middies face the Madison Mohawks (Middletown, OH) in a non-league battle, on Wednesday, May 20. Middletown will attempt to upgrade on its 2-23 season record. The Mohawks enter the battle with a 14-12 record after their 21-5 non-league win over Purcell Marian (Cincinnati, OH).
