West Virginia High School Baseball - PikeView defeats Nicholas County
May 18, 2026: Summersville, WV 26651 The crowd at Monday's league battle between the PikeView Panthers (Princeton, WV) and the host Nicholas County Grizzlies (Summersville, WV), saw PikeView's baseball team gain a win over Nicholas County by a tally of 10-3.
The Panthers (19-13) will now prepare for their battle against Shady Spring (Shady Spring, WV). The Tigers enter the non-league battle with a 24-6 record. In their last battle, Shady Spring held off Capital (Charleston, WV), 10-0, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Grizzlies face the Capital Cougars (Charleston, WV) in a Coalfield AAA battle, on Tuesday, May 19. Nicholas County will attempt to upgrade on its 19-11 season record. The Cougars enter the battle with a 8-23 record after their 11-4 league loss to Shady Spring (Shady Spring, WV).
