Salem Witches (Salem, MA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Winthrop Vikings (Winthrop, MA), 6-1 in a league test.

With the win, Salem upgrades its record to 14-3 on the season. The Witches travel to Masconomet Regional (Boxford, MA) to battle the Chieftains in a non-league test on Monday, May 22. The Chieftains come into the test with a record of 12-5.

With the defeat, Winthrop falls to 7-10 on the season. The Vikings travel to Marblehead (Marblehead, MA) to battle the Magicians in a Northeastern - South test on Monday, May 22.
