Liberty Panthers (Liberty, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Burnet Bulldogs (Burnet, TX), 3-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 34-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bullard for a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 27. Liberty will face a Panthers squad coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Robinson (Robinson, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 37-3.

With the loss, Burnet falls to 28-12 on the campaign.
