Exeter-West Greenwich Scarlet Knights (West Greenwich, RI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Central Knights (Providence, RI), 14-10 in a league challenge.

The Scarlet Knights now own a 5-11 record. They take the field next when they host Cranston East for a Division 3 challenge on Tuesday, May 23. Exeter-West Greenwich will battle a Thunderbolts squad coming off a 13-2 league loss to Mount St. Charles Academy (Woonsocket, RI). The Thunderbolts record now stands at 6-9.

With the loss, Central falls to 5-11 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Cranston East (Cranston, RI) to battle the Thunderbolts in a Division 3 challenge on Thursday, May 25. The Thunderbolts enter the challenge with a record of 6-9.
