Virginia High School Lacrosse - Albemarle drops to Monticello
May 19, 2025: Charlottesville, VA 22901 Monticello Mustangs (Charlottesville, VA) followers exited the stadium in high spirits Monday as they saw their lacrosse team overcome the host Albemarle Patriots (Charlottesville, VA), 9-2 in a league game.
With the victory, Monticello advances its record to 12-2 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Orange County (Orange, VA) to play the Fighting Hornets in a Jefferson game on Tuesday, May 20. The Fighting Hornets come into the game with a record of 3-10. Orange County lost 14-12 in their recent league game against Goochland (Goochland, VA)
The Patriots now sport a 8-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Western Albemarle for a Jefferson game on Wednesday, May 21. Albemarle will play a Warriors team coming off a 14-2 league win over Charlottesville (Charlottesville, VA). The Warriors record now stands at 10-3.
