The Valley Central Vikings the visiting Saugerties Sawyers softball squad by a count of 6-3 in Monday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Vikings meet the Monticello Panthers (Monticello, NY) in a Orange County Division II challenge, on Tuesday, May 20. Valley Central will attempt to upgrade on its 9-6 season record. The Panthers go into the challenge with a 1-13 record after their 13-10 non-league loss to Sullivan West (Lake Huntington, NY).

The Sawyers (10-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Pine Plains (Pine Plains, NY). The Bombers go into the Mid Hudson Athletic challenge with a 11-6 record. In their last challenge, Pine Plains held off Roosevelt (Hyde Park, NY), 6-2, in a non-league challenge.
