May 20, 2023: Metamora, IL 61548 The crowd at Saturday's non-league match between the Metamora Redbirds (Metamora, IL) and the visiting LaSalle-Peru Cavaliers (LaSalle, IL), saw Metamora's softball squad nip LaSalle-Peru by a count of 7-1.
The Redbirds now sport a 28-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Sterling for a non-league match on Saturday, May 20. Metamora will face a Golden Warriors squad coming off a 8-6 non-league loss to Peoria Notre Dame (Peoria, IL). The Golden Warriors record now stands at 21-9.
With the loss, LaSalle-Peru falls to 28-5 on the campaign. The Cavaliers travel to Galesburg (Galesburg, IL) to face the Silver Streaks in a non-league match on Tuesday, May 23. The Silver Streaks enter the match with a record of 4-20. Galesburg lost 7-5 in their recent non-league match against Bloomington (Bloomington, IL)
