The Valley Central Vikings routed the host Saugerties Sawyers softball squad by a count of 13-4 in Monday's non-league battle.

The Vikings (15-2) will now prepare for their battle against Goshen Central (Goshen, NY). The Gladiators go into the non-league battle with a 12-8 record. In their last battle, Goshen Central topped Roosevelt (Hyde Park, NY), 9-0, in a league battle.

The Sawyers now sport a 11-8 record. They play next when they host New Paltz for a Mid Hudson Athletic battle on Wednesday, May 22. Saugerties will meet a Huguenots squad coming off a 12-6 non-league win over Beacon (Beacon, NY). The Huguenots record now stands at 9-7.
