Virginia High School Softball - Fort Defiance bounces Riverheads
May 20, 2025: Staunton, VA 24401 The crowd at Tuesday's league bout between the Fort Defiance Indians (Fort Defiance, VA) and the host Riverheads Gladiators (Staunton, VA), observed Fort Defiance's softball team get by Riverheads by a tally of 6-1.
The Indians (13-5) will now prepare for their bout against Waynesboro (Waynesboro, VA). The Little Giants go into the Shenandoah bout with a 2-13 record. In their last bout, Waynesboro tipped Staunton (Staunton, VA), 23-2, in a league bout.
In their next game, the Gladiators battle the Staunton Storm (Staunton, VA) in a Shenandoah bout, on Wednesday, May 21. Riverheads will attempt to advance on its 6-7 season record. The Storm go into the bout with a 3-12 record after their 16-2 league loss to Wilson Memorial (Fishersville, VA).
