The Orange County Fighting Hornets softball team scored 1 runs and held the visiting Monticello Mustangs to 0 in the Fighting Hornets league win on Tuesday.

The Fighting Hornets now sport a 10-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Charlottesville for a Jefferson battle on Friday, May 23. Orange County will confront a Black Knights team coming off a 10-0 league loss to Western Albemarle (Crozet, VA). The Black Knights record now stands at 3-14.

With the loss, Monticello moves to 17-4 on the season. The Mustangs host Fluvanna County (Palmyra, VA) to confront the Flying Flucos in a Jefferson battle on Thursday, May 22. The Flying Flucos come into the battle with a record of 13-5. Fluvanna County won 4-3 in their recent league battle against Goochland (Goochland, VA)
