In Wednesday's non-league game, the host Hanover Central Wildcats baseball team scored a close 8-2 win over the Marist RedHawks.

The Wildcats (17-10) will now prepare for their game against Providence Catholic (New Lenox, IL). The Celtics go into the non-league game with a 18-14 record. In their last game, Providence Catholic nudged Ridgewood (Norridge, IL), 17-1, in a non-league game.

Next, the RedHawks play the Richards Bulldogs (Oak Lawn, IL) in a non-league game, on Friday, May 22. Marist will attempt to improve on its 19-12 season record. The Bulldogs go into the game with a 19-11 record after their 11-3 league win over Blue Island Eisenhower (Blue Island, IL).
