The Knox Redskins (Knox, IN) softball routed the visiting Morgan Township Cherokees (Valparaiso, IN), 9-1 in Friday's non-league bout.

The Redskins (9-11) will now prepare for their bout against Culver Academies (Culver, IN). The Eagles go into the non-league bout with a 2-15 record.

The Cherokees now possess a 10-11 record. They play next when they travel to Hammond Academy of Science & Tech for a non-league bout on Tuesday, May 25. Morgan Township will confront a Hawks squad coming off a 10-0 non-league loss to South Bend Adams (South Bend, IN). The Hawks record now stands at 0-6.
