Randall’s Island, NY – In Game 3 of the 2021 CHSAA Varsity Baseball “A” Division Championship Series against Sacred Heart, the Cardinal bats lead the way pounding out 12 of them, en route to a 18-12 victory on a hot day on Randall’s Island. The win gives La Salle a 3-0, best of seven, lead heading into Tuesday’s match up in Yonkers.
Alex Dayle (2 for 3, Grand Slam, 6 RBIs) help break open a tight game with a second inning Gran Slam, plating his sixth RBI of the day. Eric Marmolejos went 3 for 4, with a double, 5 RBIs and 2 SB and Xavier Guzman was a perfect 3 for 3 with 2 doubles and 2 runs scored. Freshman, Manuel Ramirez, got the start and while he didn’t have his best stuff, was still able to grind out four innings to pick up the victory.
