The Montclair Mounties routed the visiting Hackensack Comets softball squad by a final score of 11-1 in Wednesday's non-league battle.

The Mounties (16-10) will now prepare for their battle against Caldwell (West Caldwell, NJ). The Chiefs go into the SEC - American battle with a 17-9 record. In their last battle, Caldwell notched a victory over Science Park (Newark, NJ), 19-0, in a non-league battle.

The Comets now possess a 12-15 record.
