Maine High School Softball - Ashland bounces Fort Fairfield
May 25, 2024: Fort Fairfield, ME 04742 Ashland Hornets (Ashland, ME) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Fort Fairfield Tigers (Fort Fairfield, ME), 20-4 in a league challenge.
The Hornets now own a 6-4 record. They take the field next when they host Southern Aroostook for a Class D North challenge on Tuesday, May 28. Ashland will battle a Warriors squad coming off a 8-2 league loss to Katahdin (Sherman Station, ME). The Warriors record now stands at 10-3.
With the loss, Fort Fairfield falls to 1-9 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Central Aroostook (Mars Hill, ME) to battle the Panthers in a Class D North challenge on Tuesday, May 28. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 6-5. Central Aroostook lost 6-2 in their recent league challenge against Hodgdon (Hodgdon, ME)
