Massachusetts High School Softball - New Bedford bounces Barnstable
May 23, 2024: Hyannis, MA 02601 New Bedford Whalers (New Bedford, MA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Barnstable Red Hawks (Hyannis, MA), 5-0 in a non-league challenge.
The Whalers now own a 8-4 record. They take the field next when they host Dartmouth for a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 25. New Bedford will battle a Indians squad coming off a 8-0 non-league loss to Apponequet Regional (Lakeville, MA). The Indians record now stands at 7-6.
With the loss, Barnstable falls to 5-14 on the campaign.
