May 23, 2025: Geneseo, IL 61254 The Joliet Catholic Hilltoppers baseball team scored 4 runs and held the host Geneseo Maple Leafs to 1 in the Hilltoppers non-league win on Friday.
The Hilltoppers now own a 20-14 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lincoln-Way East for a non-league test on Saturday, May 24. Joliet Catholic will play a Griffins team coming off a 5-0 non-league win over Reavis (Burbank, IL). The Griffins record now stands at 24-9.
With the defeat, Geneseo drops to 15-18 on the year. The Maple leafs travel to Ottawa (Ottawa, IL) to play the Pirates in a non-league test on Saturday, May 24. The Pirates go into the test with a record of 16-15. Ottawa lost 7-4 in their recent league test against Kaneland (Maple Park, IL)
