Gate City Blue Devils (Gate City, VA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Richlands Blue Tornado (Richlands, VA), 3-1 in a non-league test.

With the win, Gate City upgrades its record to 8-10 on the season. The Blue Devils travel to Lebanon (Lebanon, VA) to battle the Pioneers in a non-league test on Tuesday, May 28. The Pioneers come into the test with a record of 17-5. Lebanon won 1-0 in their recent non-league test against Union (Big Stone Gap, VA)

With the defeat, Richlands falls to 13-8 on the season.
