May 24, 2025: Rock Island, IL 61201 The Davenport North Wildcats (Davenport, IA) baseball trounced the host Rock Island Rocks (Rock Island, IL), 9-1 in Saturday's non-league challenge.
The Wildcats now own a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they host Jefferson for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 27. Davenport North will clash with a Hawks team coming off a 10-6 non-league loss to Benton (Van Horne, IA). The Hawks record now stands at 1-4.
With the defeat, Rock Island drops to 11-18 on the year. The Rocks travel to Moline (Moline, IL) to clash with the Maroons in a non-league challenge on Monday, May 26. The Maroons go into the challenge with a record of 20-14. Moline lost 10-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Benet Academy (Lisle, IL)
