Iowa High School Softball - East Marshall holds off Wapello
May 25, 2024: Le Grand, IA 50142 East Marshall Mustangs (Le Grand, IA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Wapello Indians (Wapello, IA), 5-3 in a non-league challenge.
The Mustangs now own a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Newton for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 28. East Marshall will face a Cardinals squad coming off a 13-3 non-league win over Pleasantville (Pleasantville, IA). The Cardinals record now stands at 3-0.
With the loss, Wapello falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Indians host West Burlington (West Burlington, IA) to face the Falcons in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 29. The Falcons enter the challenge with a record of 2-0. West Burlington won 18-8 in their recent non-league challenge against Central Lee (Donnellson, IA)
