May 25, 2024: Eldora, IA 50627 The crowd at Saturday's non-league match between the Vinton-Shellsburg Vikings (Vinton, IA) and the host South Hardin Tigers (Eldora, IA), saw Vinton-Shellsburg's softball squad nip South Hardin by a count of 5-4.
The Vikings now sport a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Linn for a non-league match on Saturday, May 25.
With the loss, South Hardin falls to 2-2 on the campaign. The Tigers host Grundy Center (Grundy Center, IA) to face the Spartans in a North Iowa Cedar - West match on Tuesday, May 28. The Spartans enter the match with a record of 1-1. Grundy Center lost 5-3 in their recent non-league match against Don Bosco (Gilbertville, IA)
