Croatan Cougars (Newport, NC) fans were thrilled Thursday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Williams Bulldogs (Burlington, NC), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Cougars face the Eastern Alamance Eagles (Mebane, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, May 31. Croatan will attempt to better on its 14-4 season record. The Eagles enter the challenge with a 20-3 record after their 4-3 non-league win over Hunt (Wilson, NC).

The Bulldogs now have a 15-6 record.
