May 26, 2023: Readfield, ME 04355 In Friday's non-league challenge, the Leavitt Hornets (Turner, ME) baseball squad triumphed over the host Maranacook Black Bears (Readfield, ME), by a margin of 6-0.
With the win, Leavitt betters its record to 9-7 on the season. The Hornets host Erskine Academy (South China, ME) to encounter the Eagles in a Class B South challenge on Wednesday, May 31. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 8-7. Erskine Academy lost 3-1 in their recent league challenge against Lincoln Academy (Newcastle, ME)
With the defeat, Maranacook falls to 4-11 on the season. The Black bears travel to Lawrence (Fairfield, ME) to battle the Bulldogs in a non-league test on Wednesday, May 31. The Bulldogs come into the test with a record of 11-4. Lawrence won 6-3 in their recent league test against Nokomis (Newport, ME)
