Ithaca Yellowjackets (Ithaca, MI) supporters left the game thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Garber Dukes (Essexville, MI), 5-2 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Ithaca improves its record to 22-4 on the year. The Yellowjackets host St. Louis (St. Louis, MI) to play the Sharks in a Tri-Valley - West I game on Friday, May 30. The Sharks enter the game with a record of 15-7. St. Louis lost 9-7 in their recent non-league game against Carson City-Crystal (Carson City, MI)

The Dukes now hold a 16-14 record. They play next when they travel to Millington for a non-league game on Wednesday, May 28. Garber will play a Cardinals squad coming off a 17-0 non-league win over Atherton (Burton, MI). The Cardinals record now stands at 16-7.
