Utica Chieftains (Utica, MI) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Lutheran North Mustangs (Macomb, MI), 10-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Chieftains now sport a 21-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Anchor Bay for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 29.

With the loss, Lutheran North falls to 11-20 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Adams (Rochester, MI) to face the Highlanders in a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 30. The Highlanders enter the challenge with a record of 8-3.
