In Thursday's non-league test, the Erskine Academy Eagles (South China, ME) softball squad got by the host Maine Central Institute Huskies (Pittsfield, ME), by a count of 8-7.

Next, the Eagles meet the Medomak Valley Panthers (Waldoboro, ME) in a Class B South test, on Friday, May 30. Erskine Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 6-7 season record. The Panthers go into the test with a 12-2 record after their 13-3 league win over Leavitt (Turner, ME).

The Huskies (5-4) will now prepare for their test against Mount View (Thorndike, ME). The Mustangs go into the Class C North test with a 2-10 record. In their last test, Mount View was nudged by Winslow (Winslow, ME), 12-8, in a non-league test.
