Iowa High School Baseball - North Polk wallops Hampton-Dumont/CAL
May 30, 2025: Hampton, IA The North Polk Comets baseball team scored 13 runs and held the host Hampton-Dumont/CAL to 1 in the Comets non-league win on Friday.
The Comets now hold a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they host Gilbert for a Raccoon River test on Monday, June 2. North Polk will play a Tigers team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Norwalk (Norwalk, IA). The Tigers record now stands at 3-3.
With the defeat, Hampton-Dumont/CAL drops to 0-7 on the year. The host Humboldt (Humboldt, IA) to play the Wildcats in a North Central test on Monday, June 2. The Wildcats go into the test with a record of 6-1. Humboldt won 3-2 in their recent non-league test against Newell-Fonda (Newell, IA)
