May 30, 2025: Wellman, IA 52356 The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks (Wellman, IA) baseball got by the visiting Williamsburg Raiders (Williamsburg, IA), 7-6 in Friday's non-league challenge.
The Golden Hawks now own a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to West Branch for a non-league challenge on Monday, June 2. Mid-Prairie will clash with a Bears team coming off a 7-4 non-league loss to Calamus-Wheatland (Wheatland, IA). The Bears record now stands at 1-6.
With the defeat, Williamsburg drops to 3-3 on the year. The Raiders travel to Vinton-Shellsburg (Vinton, IA) to clash with the Vikings in a WaMac-West challenge on Monday, June 2. The Vikings go into the challenge with a record of 2-3. Vinton-Shellsburg lost 5-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Monticello (Monticello, IA)
