Iowa High School Softball - St. Ansgar edges AGWSR
May 31, 2025: Ackley, IA 50601 The St. Ansgar Saints softball team scored 7 runs and held the host AGWSR Cougars to 5 in the Saints non-league win on Saturday.
The Saints now sport a 1-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Central Springs for a Top of Iowa-East battle on Monday, June 2. St. Ansgar will confront a Panthers team coming off a 2-1 league win over North Butler (Greene, IA). The Panthers record now stands at 3-1.
With the loss, AGWSR moves to 1-4 on the season. The Cougars travel to Newman Catholic (Mason City, IA) to confront the Knights in a non-league battle on Saturday, May 31. The Knights come into the battle with a record of 1-0.
