June 1, 2024: Burlington, IA 52601 In Saturday's non-league challenge, the Notre Dame Nikes (Burlington, IA) baseball squad triumphed over the visiting Wapsie Valley Warriors (Fairbank, IA), by a final score of 12-5.
With the win, Notre Dame upgrades its record to 8-0 on the season. The Nikes host Lone Tree (Lone Tree, IA) to battle the Lions in a non-league challenge on Monday, June 3. The Lions come into the challenge with a record of 1-4. Lone Tree lost 24-4 in their recent league game against Pekin (Packwood, IA)
The Warriors (11-4) will now prepare for their game against Union (La Porte City, IA). The Knights go into the North Iowa Cedar - East game with a 3-3 record. In their last game, Union was overwhelmed by Jesup (Jesup, IA), 11-9, in a league game.
