Iowa High School Softball - Wapsie Valley bounces Central
June 1, 2024: Elkader, IA 52043 Wapsie Valley Warriors (Fairbank, IA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Central Warriors (Elkader, IA), 13-3 in a non-league challenge.
The Warriors now own a 5-3 record. They take the field next when they host Union for a North Iowa Cedar - East challenge on Monday, June 3. Wapsie Valley will battle a Knights squad coming off a 12-2 league loss to Jesup (Jesup, IA). The Knights record now stands at 2-4.
With the loss, Central falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Waukon (Waukon, IA) to battle the Indians in a non-league challenge on Monday, June 3. The Indians enter the challenge with a record of 2-2. Waukon won 9-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Turkey Valley (Jackson Junction, IA)
