West Central Valley Wildcats (Stuart, IA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Coon Rapids-Bayard Crusaders (Coon Rapids, IA), 7-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Wildcats now own a 5-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Madrid for a non-league challenge on Monday, June 3. West Central Valley will face a Tigers squad coming off a 10-0 non-league win over Colo-NESCO (Colo, IA). The Tigers record now stands at 4-5.
