Iowa High School Softball - South Hamilton bounces Denver
June 1, 2024: Denver, IA 50622 South Hamilton Hawks (Jewell, IA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Denver Cyclones (Denver, IA), 8-4 in a non-league challenge.
The Hawks now own a 4-5 record. They take the field next when they host Prairie City-Monroe for a Heart of Iowa challenge on Monday, June 3. South Hamilton will battle a Mustangs squad coming off a 6-0 non-league win over Roland-Story (Story City, IA). The Mustangs record now stands at 6-1.
With the loss, Denver falls to 1-4 on the campaign. The Cyclones travel to Columbus (Waterloo, IA) to battle the Sailors in a North Iowa Cedar - Central challenge on Monday, June 3. The Sailors enter the challenge with a record of 1-5. Columbus won 10-9 in their recent non-league challenge against AGWSR (Ackley, IA)
