June 1, 2024: Mt. Vernon, IA 52314 In Saturday's non-league contest, the Mt. Vernon Mustangs (Mt. Vernon, IA) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Oskaloosa Indians (Oskaloosa, IA), by a margin of 13-1.
With the triumph, Mt. Vernon moves its record to 11-1 on the year. The Mustangs travel to Chariton (Chariton, IA) to play the Chargers in a non-league contest on Saturday, June 1. The Chargers come into the contest with a record of 3-3. Chariton won 13-2 in their recent league contest against Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont (Eddyville, IA)
