New York High School Baseball - St. Francis Prep holds off Moore Catholic
June 1, 2025: Fresh Meadows, NY 11365 In Sunday's non-league game, the host St. Francis Prep Terriers baseball team scored a close 8-4 win over the Moore Catholic Mavericks.
The Terriers (19-10) will now prepare for their game against St. Joseph-by-the-Sea (Staten Island, NY). The Vikings go into the non-league game with a 26-4 record. In their last game, St. Joseph-by-the-Sea was overwhelmed by St. Peter's (Staten Island, NY), 7-2, in a league game.
Next, the Mavericks play the Regis Raiders (New York, NY) in a non-league game, on Wednesday, June 25. Moore Catholic will attempt to improve on its 19-11 season record. The Raiders go into the game with a 9-13 record after their 5-2 league loss to Monsignor Farrell (Staten Island, NY).
