Spectators at Thursday's non-league match between the Roxbury Gaels (Succasunna, NJ) and the host Nutley Maroon Raiders (Nutley, NJ), witnessed Roxbury's softball squad tip Nutley by a count of 2-1.

The Gaels now sport a 12-1 record. They play next when they travel to Steinert for a non-league match on Saturday, June 4. Roxbury will face a Spartans squad coming off a 4-2 non-league win over Burlington Township (Burlington, NJ). The Spartans record now stands at 16-2.
