Iowa High School Softball - Starmont Marquette
June 2, 2025: Arlington, IA 50606 Marquette Defenders (Bellevue, IA) followers went home content Monday as they witnessed their softball team edge the host Starmont Stars (Arlington, IA), 7-1 in a non-league outing.
The Defenders now sport a 2-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Clinton for a non-league outing on Wednesday, June 4. Marquette will encounter a River Kings team coming off a 13-5 league loss to Davenport Central (Davenport, IA). The River Kings record now stands at 1-6.
With the loss, Starmont moves to 4-2 on the season. The Stars host North Linn (Troy Mills, IA) to encounter the Lynx in a Tri-Rivers - West outing on Thursday, June 5. The Lynx come into the outing with a record of 6-1.
