Iowa High School Softball - West Monona bounces Boyer Valley
June 4, 2024: Onawa, IA 51040 West Monona Spartans (Onawa, IA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Boyer Valley Bulldogs (Dunlap, IA), 13-3 in a non-league challenge.
The Spartans now own a 9-2 record. They take the field next when they host Kingsley-Pierson for a Western Valley challenge on Wednesday, June 5. West Monona will battle a Panthers squad coming off a 13-0 non-league win over Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union (Marcus, IA). The Panthers record now stands at 5-4.
With the loss, Boyer Valley falls to 0-5 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Woodbine (Woodbine, IA) to battle the Tigers in a Rolling Valley challenge on Wednesday, June 5. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 4-0. Woodbine won 2-0 in their recent non-league challenge against CAM (Anita, IA)
